Campaign Structure, Keywords, Landing Pages, Assets and Conversion Goals

Everything needed to build the new account structure in parallel with the live campaign. All keyword volumes below are real figures pulled from the Google Ads Keyword Planner API for this account.

Rule 1 — Website traffic-General is never edited It keeps its budget, bidding, keywords, ads and geo exactly as they are. Every campaign below is new. The legacy campaign is only re-evaluated once the new structure is carrying the account, and only with explicit sign-off.

* DSA has no keyword list — the figure is the addressable pool the blog content maps to, from a Keyword Planner URL seed on /blog/. It is an indication of reach, not a forecast. All geo assignments are Phase 1 / Phase 2 — see Geographic strategy below.

Change — 17 Aug 2026: the Miami founder-programs campaign is removed Endeavor Miami confirmed the founder programme is no longer active, so a campaign built to advertise it has nothing to send people to. SR_NB_Founder_Programs_MIA is dropped from the plan and its $30/day moves to DSA ($90 → $120/day). The mix is unchanged at $330/day.
This is also the cheapest correction available: that campaign carried 70 searches/month of local demand — the thinnest in the plan — while DSA reaches the pool where the volume actually is. The application intent it was meant to capture does not disappear: /entrepreneur-experience/ remains the destination of the brand campaign, of PMax, and of the Apply Today conversion.
Why the $2 cap makes phase 2 the real unlock Under the $2 ceiling the plan needs roughly 245 clicks/day (~7,450/month) to spend $330/day, which at a 5.5% CTR implies about 135,000 impressions/month. That is a demanding number for this category. Once the account moves to Maximize Conversions the cap disappears and CPCs can rise to the $4-ish level the account already sees — meaning the same budget clears with roughly half the impressions. In other words: restoring conversion tracking is not only a compliance fix, it is the single biggest lever on spend.
Two tiers, reported separately Campaigns 1, 2 and 4 are judged on applications, mentor sign-ups and partner enquiries. Campaigns 3, 5 and 6 are judged on qualified reach, newsletter growth and report downloads — they exist to make the grant land. Keeping the two tiers apart is what stops "we spent $10k" being mistaken for "we generated 40 applications".

2Geographic strategy

Endeavor Miami serves two genuinely different audiences with different geographies. The plan starts narrow, proves delivery, then widens — rather than opening everything at once and diluting the signal.

Audience A — the people who can be selected To be supported by the Miami office, an entrepreneur must have part of their operation, their team or the founder based in Florida — at least part-time. Someone splitting time between Miami and Madrid qualifies; someone with no Florida footprint does not. Practically this means South Florida first, with Orlando and Tampa in scope.
Audience B — the soft-landing founders Miami is a strategic gateway between Latin America and the United States. Founders from Colombia, Mexico and across the region approach Endeavor Miami specifically to soft-land and enter the US market, and there is a service for them. Reaching that audience means visibility beyond Florida — which is exactly what the existing legacy campaign has been doing, if unintentionally.

How the two are reconciled

PhaseSettingWho it reachesTrigger to move on
Phase 1
launch
Florida, with location option set to "Presence or interest" rather than "Presence only" People physically in Florida plus people anywhere who show search interest in Miami / South Florida — which captures much of Audience B without buying whole countries Campaigns consistently spending their full daily budget
Phase 2
if spend is constrained
Add rest of United States, then Latin America (ES/PT), campaign by campaign Full soft-landing audience and the national mentorship pool Applied to campaigns 2–5 first; the brand campaign stays local
Agreed test — general vs local Rather than assuming, the plan runs the comparison Endeavor Miami proposed: a broad multi-country campaign alongside the Florida-focused ones, measured against each other on cost per meaningful conversion, not on clicks. "Presence or interest" targeting is the cheaper first version of that test — it buys the interest signal without paying for entire countries — and full country targeting is the phase-2 escalation if the narrower setting cannot spend.
The tension to be aware of Florida-only search demand for these themes is small — roughly 3,500 searches/month across every theme against the ~132,000 impressions/month the budget needs. Phase 1 is therefore very likely to hit a delivery ceiling within weeks. That is not a failure of the setup; it is the expected trigger for phase 2. Defining it up front avoids weeks of guessing later.

3Campaign 1 — SR_BR_Endeavor_Miami

Brand defence. Cheapest clicks in the account and, at 32.77% CTR historically, the single biggest protector of the 5% account CTR floor.

Resolved — the second ad group no longer depends on a programme EndeavorLAB, ScaleUp and the founder programme are all retired, so AG_Brand_Programs is dropped rather than held: there is no live programme to send those searchers to, and /scaleup/ already redirects to the homepage. The Ad Grants two-ad-group minimum is met instead by AG_Brand_About on /endeavor-miami/ — the values and mission page Endeavor Miami supplied on 17 Aug. That page describes the organisation rather than a programme, so it cannot go stale the way the programme pages did. The interim AG_Brand_Exact / AG_Brand_Phrase split is no longer needed.

4Campaign 2 — SR_NB_Mentorship_Advisory

National mentorship demand — 2,790 searches/month, 40× the Miami application pool. Serves the "mentors and business leaders" audience and is the strongest genuine non-brand opportunity.

Policy guardrail on this campaign These terms are broad but mission-specific, which keeps them compliant. What must not be added: start up, starting a business, business ideas, small business — high volume but "overly generic" under Ad Grants policy. That demand is captured through DSA instead.

6Campaign 4 — SR_NB_Ecosystem_Research_Partners

Serves the research/ecosystem audience and, in a second ad group, the corporate-partner audience — which Keyword Planner shows has zero search demand, so it is scoped as a placeholder rather than a volume play.

Corporate partnerships are a relationship-led motion, not a search-led one. The ad group exists to satisfy the ≥2 ad group rule and to catch the occasional query — it should not be given a budget target or judged on volume.

7Campaign 5 — DSA_Content_Blog_Press

The volume engine. No keywords — Google matches queries directly to the content of 179 posts, which is how the account reaches the ~430,800/month generic pool without a policy breach.

Exclusions — mandatory

Per the kickoff, these must be excluded from all DSA targeting: /endeavor-companies/ · /resources/ (outdated Community Resources) · /board-of-directors/ · /team/ · /events/list/ · /donate/ · every /scaleup/ and /endeavorlab/ path, including their blog categories — those programmes are retired for good, so the exclusion is now permanent rather than provisional.

Correction — /companies/ is not the excluded page The kickoff exclusion list named /endeavor-companies/, which today 301s to the homepage. The live portfolio page is /companies/, and Endeavor Miami asked for it on 17 Aug. Two different URLs: the old one stays excluded, the new one gets its own DSA ad group. Worth checking the same way before any URL is trusted — this account already lost budget to ten destinations that had quietly stopped resolving.
Anti-cannibalisation Every keyword from campaigns 1–4 must be added as a campaign-level negative on the DSA campaign, so DSA only picks up demand the keyword campaigns cannot reach. Without this, DSA competes with — and inflates the CPC of — the higher-intent campaigns.
Expected CTR profile DSA typically runs a lower CTR than tightly-themed Search. Watch it: DSA is not exempt from the 5% account CTR rule (only Performance Max is). If account CTR drifts toward 5.5%, tighten the DSA targeting rules before adding budget.

8Campaign 6 — PMax_Endeavor_Miami

Search + Maps inventory, automated matching, and — uniquely — exempt from the 5% CTR rule, so it adds spend without compliance exposure.

Known trade-off PMax is a partial black box: search-term visibility is limited, which makes policy control harder on a Grants account. Mitigate with account-level negative keywords, brand exclusions and a monthly review of campaign_search_term_insight. Start at $45/day and scale only if the search-term report stays mission-relevant.

Three pages added — Endeavor Miami's shortlist, 17 Aug 2026 All three were checked live on the day they were received: 200 OK, real content, no redirect.
  • /endeavor-miami/ — "Our Values": Entrepreneur First, Go Big, Pay It Forward, Network of Trust. This solves the open problem on campaign 1: with every named programme retired, brand had no legitimate second ad group. AG_Brand_About now fills that slot with a page that will not expire.
  • /press/ — press-release index, already the largest DSA content block (48 posts). It gets promoted from "content DSA crawls" to a named destination and an account sitelink.
  • /companies/ — the Endeavor Miami company portfolio. Note this is not the same URL as /endeavor-companies/, which the kickoff asked to exclude and which today 301s to the homepage. The exclusion stays on the old path; the live page is now in scope.
Open — needs input from Endeavor Miami
  • ScaleUp, EndeavorLAB and the founder programme are all retired. /scaleup/, /scaleup/criteria/ and /scaleup/past-editions/ all 301 to the homepage; seven existing sitelinks and the account's primary conversion trigger still point at them. Brand no longer waits on this — /endeavor-miami/ covers the second ad group — but the seven stale sitelinks still need new destinations.
  • Any other pages worth featuring? The DSA campaign picks up blog content automatically, but any article or page worth a dedicated ad group — with its own keyword research and copy — is better handled explicitly. The 17 Aug shortlist is already built in; more can be added the same way.
  • Thin content flagged: /category/access-to-capital/ has only 4 posts, and it is the highest-intent theme in the whole plan (see the Competitors page).

11Assets and extensions

The account has no account-level sitelinks — only 4 callouts, 1 structured snippet and 2 logos. Account-level assets inherit down to every campaign that has none of its own, so this is the fastest compliance and CTR win available.

Clean-up first Before adding anything, remove or repair the 19 sitelink assets pointing at dead or redirecting URLs (18 of them parked on paused campaigns; one, /endeavor-companies/, is live) (summit24. ×3, apin. ×4) and rebuild the malformed "Apply Here" sitelink whose URL is two addresses concatenated into a 404. These sit on paused campaigns, so the fix is safe and does not touch the live campaign.

12Conversion goals that fire on button clicks

The core recommendation: stop relying on page-load triggers and build click-based conversions on the site's actual sign-up buttons. Page-load rules are what broke in July when /scaleup/ started redirecting. A click trigger on a button survives URL changes. Built and published in GTM-TS5QRG54 on Aug 23 — see the Actions change log.

Why the current setup keeps breaking Both primary conversions are "page load of URL X". They depend on a specific URL continuing to exist and to be reachable. When the site was restructured, the URL changed, the trigger stopped, and Smart Bidding lost its signal — silently. A click listener on the button element does not care what URL the page lives at.

Shipped conversion goals

#GoalGTM triggerGoogle Ads actionRole
1Apply Today click Click — All Elements, where Click URL contains docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf5Ps
Fires on /entrepreneur-experience/ "Apply Today" — matches the form URL, not the element id, so a future CTA anywhere on the site keeps firing it
EM - Apply Today click — Submit lead form Primary
2Newsletter subscribe Form Submission where Form ID equals mc-embedded-subscribe-form EM - Newsletter signup — Sign-upSecondary
3Report / PDF download Click — All Elements, where Click URL matches RegEx \.pdf($|\?) EM - Report download — EngagementSecondary
4Email contact Click — All Elements, where Click URL starts with mailto:
Not a form submit — /contact/ and /partnerships/ have no form, only the sitewide Mailchimp footer embed
EM - Email contact — ContactSecondary
Only one goal is primary Ad Grants explicitly flags accounts where clicks roughly equal conversions. An earlier draft of this plan marked five goals primary — Newsletter, Report download and Email contact are cheap, high-volume signals that would corrupt both the compliance ratio and Smart Bidding's learning as primaries, so they ship as secondary, observation-only goals. Only Apply Today click, the account's actual conversion event, is primary — and even that is staged, promoted only once the tag is confirmed firing (see Actions change log).
Two goals dropped from the earlier plan Event registration is removed — /events/ returns 410 Gone and no ticketing host (lu.ma or otherwise) is linked anywhere on the site; the conversion action built against it can never fire again. Donate click is deferred, not built — the real donation happens inside a cross-origin Donorbox iframe that GTM on the parent page cannot see into, so a click on the nav link would measure navigation intent, not a completed donation. Worth a written request to Tatiana for Donorbox-side tracking; out of scope for this build.

Clean-up inside Google Ads

  1. The 4 goals above are built as new conversion actions, all secondary (primary_for_goal = false) — see the build-day rationale in the Actions change log. None of them affect Website traffic-General's optimisation surface today.
  2. Once Apply Today click is confirmed firing, promote it and demote the 3 dead actions in the same mutate call, so the campaign is never left without a primary goal: the two Page load /scaleup/ and /endeavorlab/ GA4 actions, and the lu.ma event action (the dropped goal above).
  3. Retire the two hidden GA4 actions (purchase, Click) — neither applies to a nonprofit.
  4. Set include_in_conversions_metric = true on EM - Apply Today click once it is promoted to primary.
Critical path Google Tag Manager is built and published but not yet installed on the site. None of the 4 goals above can fire until Emi adds the container snippet to the WordPress theme — see Actions, item 1. This is the single highest-priority dependency in the whole plan — everything else can be built in parallel, but the account should not scale onto Maximize Conversions until signal is confirmed.
